Internet phones are the latest craze helping people stay in touch with friends and family cheaply. As the name suggests an internet phone uses your internet connection to make phone calls. This means internet phones are much cheaper for making and receiving calls when compared against traditional landlines and mobile phones. The only thing you need to start using an internet phone is a high-speed internet connection (broadband) and a phone adapter.

Traditionally, internet phones allow you to make calls from one computer to another, using a headset. Vonage’s internet phone service is different. This means you can call friends, family or clients and appear to be local even though you are in another UK city or town. Likewise your callers can call you on your internet phone number on a local rate even if you are out of town.

Additionally, the Vonage internet phone enables you to set up a Vonage Virtual phone number which can be added onto your Vonage account. From a choice of 8 countries, you can set up an internet phone number wherever your friends, family of customers are based. They can then call you for the price of a local call, even if your in another country.
