Phone Numbers

When you join Vonage, there are all sorts of telephone number options available. Here are some of the ways you can make your new phone number work for you.

What is a Virtual Phone Number?

A Virtual Phone Number is a low-cost secondary phone number, with a different code, reserved for incoming calls. When someone dials this, it rings through to your main Vonage phone line. Anyone calling you from abroad can speak to you as though they lived in the same country and avoid paying for an international call.

You can add as many Virtual Numbers as you need to your Vonage account.

Carlos didn't want his parents in Mexico to make expensive calls

Carlos lives in the UK, but his parents retired to Mexico City. So he set up an International Virtual Phone Number prefixed with a Mexican country code. Now mum and dad can dial a local Mexican number – and it rings straight through to Carlos's Vonage line.

Jamie was ready to expand his UK business

He wanted an international presence. So he set up two International Virtual Phone Numbers with American & Canadian country codes, to offer potential overseas customers an office number that was local to them. When they dial, Jamie's primary phone line in London rings. His international customers save money, and Jamie can build up his reputation abroad.
