In this video, we'll show you what you need to do to get connected if you have a Sky, BT, or combination modem router. It may look something like this, but there're many brands of routers. So if yours is different, don't worry, but it should have a series of ports on the back like this. If you're experiencing problems with setting up, you'll find some common queries at the end of the video.
Getting started is simple. Once you've activated your Vonage account with a UK credit or debit card, we'll send you your Vonage box. We have two types of boxes. One could look like this, the other like this.
I'm now going to show you what you need to do once you've received your box. It really is easy. All we're going to do is connect the Vonage box to your broadband, and your home phone to the Vonage box. That's it. You're then ready to start making calls.
First, let's check you've received everything you need. Within your delivery you should have either one of these Vonage boxes, a power cord, and a blue Ethernet cable. Okay, let's get started.
Step one. First, make sure that your internet connection is active. Now, take the blue Ethernet cable, and if your box looks like this, plug it into the blue port on the back of your Vonage box. If you have a box like this, plug it into the port on the left hand side called 'internet'. Now, take the other end of the cable and plug it into an available port on your router.
Step two. Now you need to power up your Vonage box. So, take the power cord and connect this to the orange power point on the Vonage box. Or, if you have this box, into the power point between the internet and phone. Now, connect the plug to your plug socket. You'll know once you have power, the lights on the top of the box will come on.
Step three. All that's left to do is to connect your phone. Take your phone cord and plug it into the green port marked '1' at the back of this Vonage box, and into the right hand port marked 'phone' on this Vonage box. That's it. Pick up the receiver, listen to the dialing tone, you're now ready to make calls.

If your Vonage box is not registered, Vonage will be unable to route any outbound calls from your Vonage phone. If you attempt to make a call, you will receive a fast busy tone or an error message. If you find that you're suddenly unable to make outbound calls, please try the following troubleshooting steps.
Firstly, verify that you have internet connectivity, and secondly check your firewall security settings. If after trying these steps you're still unable to make outbound calls, please contact customer support.
